Tree-planting row leaves decades-old firm, Tully’s, ‘going out of business.’

Nadine Eckhoff: "Wellknown" business isn't going to go out of business all of a sudden because of a tree surely!

Jos Booker: Seems a bit close for any tree to properties.

Jessica Jane: People know where they want to go if they need any alterations. I’m sure Tully’s will pop into someone’s head regardless of a tree outside it or not!

Graeme Howe:

To be fair they do look good initially but grow and cause big issues with light and encroaching root damage to buildings and pavements.

David Richardson: If your business is going out of business, I'm 100 percent sure it's not because of a tree.

Eileen Hughes: I’m afraid that Mr Tully is fighting a losing battle. Know from experience with the council. Good luck.

Margo Lax:

Tully’s have been going for years and years. Don’t think trees will make a difference.

Meg Hadlington: I don’t think the paths are wide enough for trees, people with prams pushchairs, mobility scooters, wheelchairs then people passing by, people will be walking on the road to get passed.

Veronica McCaskill:

It is great to see an independent business still going as the town centre is dying. We need to support them not hide away with trees!

Ashley Carroll: Its’ been there since 1977 so I'm sure people will know where it is, and it will have regular customers.

Jan Howe Porter: It’s not really a shop you visit all the time though so I get what he is saying.

Bob Jackson: Cherry blossoms will look great. They only bloom for a couple of weeks.

Ruth Brodrick: Makes that road look better.

Pete Clarke: Why not plant them in between each shop rather than in the middle of the shop window. Common sense.
