GO FOR IT

Don’t let fear hold you back. You may never get the chance to head to this corner of the globe again, so take full advantage of your adventure, surf as much as you can and absorb all the advice your surf coach shares with you.

TAKE NOTES

You’re bound to learn lots during your stay at a surf camp, so you may want to take note of the things you’ve learned on your trip. Take a journal and document your waves, wipeouts and experiences.

ASK QUESTIONS

Don’t be afraid to get in touch with the surf camp before heading off. Whether you want to ask about the waves, what type of wetsuit you need to bring – or if you even need to bring a wetsuit – whatever the questions, just ask. It’s better to feel prepared than not.

DO YOUR RESEARCH

If you’re heading somewhere new then do a little research before you embark on your adventure. This will give you a better idea of what to pack, what the waves will be like and what to expect when you get there.

DON’T OVER PACK

You may want to take every bikini that you own, but you really don’t need to. Less is more. As long as you have enough sun cream and surf wax, you should be fine.
