Who? Silvana Lima Where? Keramas, Bali When? May 2018

This photo was taken at the first ever WCT women’s surf contest in Bali, and Brazilian surfer Silvana Lima was ripping in the exceptional conditions. Exciting, passionate and determined, she’s a warrior with talent to match. We love Silvana Lima; for us she represents everything that freedom stands for.

Silvana grew up in a beachside shack in Paracuaru, Brazil, and didn’t get sponsorship for most of her professional career, then succumbed to injury whilst on the World Tour. Most surfers would have called it a day, but Silvana bounced back, selling everything to get on the WQS tour and then eventually back on the WCT.

Today, at 33, she still has bursts of brilliance on tour, and whenever she feels down she just reads the ink on her right arm, which says, ‘Tudo Passa,’ – everything passes.
