Hammond feels more needs to be done.

“Professor Green did a great documentary speaking about his problems and gave an insight into his life,” he said.

“Ruby Wax, Stephen Fry and Eddie Izzard all speak openly about mental health. My trouble is while this is great the government are not doing enough,” he said.

“We need to be talking more and more about it. More resources are needed for the extreme cases instead out of putting them on a prescription.

“We have to speak to them, to talk to them and make then feel themselves again, but this isn’t being done.

“Personally I have been quite affected by depression and anxiety. I have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.

“I have been waiting for more than a month to be seen. Enough is enough. It cannot just keep going the way it is.

“People need to be aware of these issues.”
