Dog trousers to stop the hassle of post walk clean-up
IT is safe to say that this summer hasn’t been the driest to date and all the dog owners out there know what that means for our canine friends – lots of mud and dirt.
As a very rainy August sets in, one woman and dog lover from Chobham has come to the rescue to solve your mudcladded woes.
Yes, that means you can finally wave goodbye to hours of soaking your pet’s dirty paws and say hello to The Dog Trouser Company.
Harriet Sinfield-Day is the woman behind the new company which is designed to keep dogs, cars and homes clean after muddy and wet walks.
The 37-year-old, who previously dedicated her animal centred career on horses, set up a dog-hiking business in 2014 and is now a professional dog walker. After spending hours outside with dogs, whatever the weather, who would be better placed to come up with every dog owner’s rainy saving grace?
The inspiration for The Dog Trouser Company was borne out of real life frustrations as even the best towel rubbing techniques still left her clients’ dogs muddy and wet after walks.
Mrs Sinfield-Day said: “The Dog Trouser Company was born out of pure desperation to stop the hassles of the post walk clean-up overshadow the joy, bond and wellbeing gained from pet and person time.
“Our dog trousers are a practical accessory for busy people with active dogs, saving them time on post-walk dog, car or household cleaning. They’re also a must for the dog that shudders at the word bath!”
The Dog Trouser Company offers a robust and practical alternative to dog coats and pet onesies, made from functional, durable and machine washable fabric.
The mother-of-two also drew inspiration from her rescue dog, Alma, whose long hairy coat attracts mud and dirt.
The durable trousers are machine washable and come in plain bright red or a grey combat print.
What’s even better is that £2 from every sale is donated to 1 Dog at a Time Rescue UK, a charity which rehomes abused Romanian street dogs.
The Dog Trousers are available in sizes XXS to L, and are priced £75.99 to £84.99. To find out more visit www.thedogtrousercompany.com or find them on Facebook.
