KEY GAMES FOR BROTHER WISE

-

The one that started it all…

BOSS MONSTER (2013) £25

Boss Monster is a dungeon game with a twist, as instead of trying to escape the monsters that lurk beneath, you’re actually building the perfect side scrolling dungeon trap for the hapless heroes to fall victim to. With pixel art reminiscent of classic video games, this card game is full of nods to our favourite geeky pop culture references. Follow ups include Boss Monster 2, and a number of expansions, including a Vault of Villains, Implements of Destruction, and

Crash Landing.

The most recent release… OVERBOSS (2021) £45

What happens when you become such a boss, your only option is high level management? You become the Overboss! Set in the world of Boss Monster and so including video game references and nods, the game differs as a a tile drafting, map building, and set collection game.

The most popular …

CALL TO ADVENTURE (2019) £40

Though popularity can be subjective, Board Game Geek ranks Call to Adventure as Brotherwise Games’ most popular game. Within it, you’ll make your fate by creating your own hero with the greatest destiny, undertaking character decisions, challenges, and plans to craft a character driven story, built upon rune rolling to resolve challenges, 150 cards, and a points based system to encourage storytelling. There’s also its Name of the Wind expansion to consider, and the standalone Stormlight Archive.

The newly announced…

THE DRAGON PRINCE: BATTLECHARGED (2021) $39.95

This newly announced game will contain detailed miniatures of eight heroes and villains from the award winning The Dragon Prince world, as seen on Netflix. It will combine tactical miniatures with fast paced card battles, and customised decks allowing character to maintain a unique play style.

You’ll control these across six different battle maps, and use your playing cards to unleash attacks and special abilities.
