UNDAUNTED: STALINGRAD SET FOR FALL
Osprey Games has announced the next in the line of Undaunted games from the design pair David Thompson and Trevor Benjamin. A standalone, big box experience is promised with “more content than ever before” – which appears to mostly be in the form of a branching, narrative experience. The introduction of a campaign with consequences to the Undaunted series is a welcome addition, hot on the heels of Undaunted: Reinforcements (reviewed page 72). Set in 1942 the usual difficult choices of Undaunted games will become even weightier, as each casualty will weaken your forces for future scenarios. Additionally, ‘destructive terrain’ is hinted at in the announcement, suggesting the map of the warzone will become ruins.
The game is set to contain over 300 cards and 100 map tiles – possibly hinting to the scope of the game being greatly enhanced. While the game is currently only being offered as a two player outing, we’d be surprised if this stays the case – especially once additional expansions get added to Undaunted: Stalingrad.
