ZINE QUEST POSTPONED, ZINE MONTH IN THE WORKS

The annual celebration of indie RPG designers that takes place on Kickstarter has been postponed to August. In a statement, Kickstarter referred to this move to be trying something new, garnering more visibility for projects in line with GenCon in the same month, and hoping to make 2022 “Zine Quest’s biggest year yet”. Many were disappointed at the news, referring to increased competition, late notice, and the impact it will have on independent designers in general, and whilst Kickstarter has confirmed it will still provide extra attention to those still launching in February, Zine Month (or ZiMo) has been assembled by Feral Indie Game Studios, to encourage a similar outcome to previous years.
