Get help from the heavens by learning how to write letters to your winged guardians

This Summer, as many people head off on a long-awaited holiday, those of us back home might be pleasantly surprised to find a postcard land on our doormat. But what if you could receive one from someone even further afield – your very own guardian angel?

Well, you can, says angel expert Victoria Mary Clarke who has been receiving letters from her angels for many years.

‘Angels are like the best mum you can ever imagine,’ says Victoria, who talks about her experiences in her book Angels in Disguise (£9.95, The Collins Press). ‘They’re patient and gentle and help you feel good about yourself, as well as put you on the right track,’ she adds.

Victoria, who never believed in angels growing up, is proof of their amazing power, after a reading with a psychic and angel communicator helped turn her life around.

‘My life was such a mess. Everyone around me was really successful and knew what they wanted to do with their lives but I never felt good enough.

‘I didn’t have a purpose or direction and it even got to the point where I felt suicidal.

‘I went to see her thinking she was going to give me a reading about the future which would give me some hope. But then something unexpected happened!

‘She began speaking, but the words weren’t hers. They were from my angel. The way she spoke was really weird and she had a far-off look in her eyes.

‘I realised she was in some sort of trance, letting an angel speak through her like mediums sometimes do with spirits.’

Filled with love

Victoria says the angel gave her reassurance she was doing well and would discover what she was meant to do with her life.

‘I was filled with the sort of love and happiness that knocks your socks off. It was like having a million lovers in the room, it made me feel faint and giddy. I wanted more!’ So, a year later, Victoria took a course to learn how to channel angels herself.

‘I felt silly and self-conscious letting them speak through me so when I was told I could let them write through me instead, I jumped at the chance to try it.

Angelic advice

‘It used a mix of automatic writing and cosmic ordering to channel letters from my angel who would give me answers to problems and guidance to solve them. I could ask any question I wanted, whenever I liked, and they would write back and help.

‘I knew it wasn’t me writing the letters back because the answers often weren’t what I was expecting or the kind of thing

I’d say. Sometimes, instead of a straight answer, the angels would ask the question back at me to give me a new perspective, saying “What would he bring to your life?” if I asked about a guy I was interested in.

‘Other times, they would tease me saying maybe I was being over the top about something or give me helpful tasks to do to solve problems.’

Victoria started with small, everyday requests such as recovering lost items, working up to more life-changing things.

‘I lost my favourite handbag in town so I asked the angels for help and they wrote back telling me to think about the handbag, remembering how much I loved the colour of it and the smell, before imagining it coming closer to me. Within days, a woman had rung me up and returned it to me!

‘More recently, my dad was in hospital in intensive care and the doctors told us all to say goodbye. I asked the angels if there was anything I could do. They told me to not try and fix it, but create an atmosphere of peace among everyone by first calming myself down.

‘I did that and when I returned to Dad’s bedside, he’d made a dramatic turnaround!’

You can give it a go for any area of your life; from finding out if the perfect job is out there for you to asking for a general confidence boost.

‘I think we are all born psychic, whether we know it or not, so anyone can do this, even if they have never even seen an angel,’ says Victoria. ‘Without the angels, I could easily be dead. Our culture is geared to making people feel like they’re not good enough, but our angels can give us the courage to overcome even the greatest of setbacks. I’m proof of that!’
