WHAT YOUR PET’S STAR SIGN

says about them

-

Having a pet has never been more popular – since March 2020 a huge 3.2 million households in the UK have welcomed a new animal into their home. But how can you be sure you and your pet are going to get along?

‘Just like humans, animals are affected by the planets and their star sign on the day they were born says a lot about their personality and what makes them tick,’ says Alison Davies author of The Cat Purrsonality Test (£9.99, Quarto Books). ‘A pet’s astro make-up affects everything from the way they behave to the way they interact with you and other animals. It even determines what kind of presents they like!’ says Alison.

‘Checking out a pet’s star sign can help us learn tricks to help them live a happy life. That’s especially true for those of us with pets whose star sign isn’t traditionally compatible with our own or those searching for a new pet we’ll get along with.’

With 26th August marking International Pets Day what better time to think about the bond you have with your pet and how you can make sure they are living their best life?

ARIES

Assertive Aries knows what he wants. This fearless character is a fast worker at most things, including winning your heart. He’s no push-over and doesn’t like to be controlled. Give him free rein and freedom to run and he’ll be in his element. He likes to be the boss, so other pets might make life difficult. Introduce him gently and give him lots of attention so he knows he’s number one! Compatible with Aquarius, Leo and Sagittarius

TAURUS

If your pet pal is a routineloving Taurus, they’ll be easy to train. It’s their habit-forming nature that’s the key. Regular meal and bed times and lots of cuddles are what makes them tick. They are tactile, loyal, and sweet natured, but have a stubborn streak, too. Their ruling planet, Venus, helps them appreciate life’s pleasures, from good food, to soft, snuggly blankets. Compatible with Cancer, Scorpio and Virgo

GEMINI

This little star has a split personality. One minute they are playful, the next a loner with attitude. They like to keep you on your toes with their mischievous antics and are one of the best communicators in the Zodiac. They might not speak your language, but will let you know what they want by being vocal. Sociable and friendly, they are happy to welcome human and animal friends into their world. Compatible with Aquarius, Leo and Libra

CANCER

This sensitive sign needs lots of love to reassure them, but once they feel comfortable they will return the favour. They are affectionate, but also clingy, and likely to suffer separation anxiety. Highly intuitive, you may find they can read your moods and know when you’re feeling under the weather. They’re likely to be nervous around young pets and children.

Compatible with Taurus, Virgo and Scorpio

LEO

Lovable Leos are sure to entertain you. They love being centre of attention, and their amusing antics will keep you smiling. They crave affection, and can be demanding at times, especially in a multi-pet household. This confident character is comfortable in their own skin and not afraid to stand up for themselves. They are also likely to be protective of those within their tribe, including you! Compatible with Aries, Gemini and Libra

VIRGO

The Virgo pet takes their time. It may seem like they keep their distance, but they’re just sussing things out. One of the most patient signs of the Zodiac, they are tolerant of most things, including new people and trips to the vet. It might seem like nothing fazes them, but they do have their standards and appreciate good food, and quality time with their humans. Compatible with Taurus, Cancer and Capricorn
