Is he sad he was left behind?
When my cat, Archie, died we buried him in our garden. Now we’ve moved house I worry he’s sad we left him behind. Is he OK?

Archie says he would only be sad if you weren’t heading where you were heading. You needed to move forward and make the most out of life. He says he is not in your old garden as he is with you all the time. Finally, Archie says he’s noticed you looking stressed lately, which worries him. Try to relax more and take some time out for yourself.

That made me feel quite emotional. I used to call Archie my little time waster, because he distracted me from my work when I was stressed by sitting in front of me and putting his two arms up for a cuddle. Maybe this was his way of trying to ask me to be less anxious and take time for myself. I will take the time to remember him and feel him with me when I can.
Where did he go?
My gerbil, Tommy, got lost in the garden a couple months ago. His pal, Bobby, is now living on his own and I’m worried he’s lonely. Should I get another gerbil to keep him company and will Tommy ever come back?

Tommy sadly passed away. He hid as he was frightened when he got out, but he is OK now though he regrets escaping as he feels he could still have been with Bobby now. It took time for Bobby to adjust to being alone, but now he doesn’t mind it. He’s worried that another gerbil might boss him about too much and says he couldn’t cope if the new one was not happy about sharing his space with him.
Sharon says:
I cried when I heard that Tommy is dead. I left him and Bobby out in their enclosure for a run about and when I returned Bobby was on his own and there was no sign of Tommy. Bobby seems all right now, thankfully. I will take Texas’ advice about holding off getting another gerbil.
