Take a Break Fate & Fortune

Affirmation gave me an angel

Repeating a few chosen words from my favourite magazine granted me special protection!

Grabbing my copy of Fate & Fortune,

I slumped on the sofa. ‘Lovely,’ I sighed.

Juggling being a mum to two daughters and my job as a carer, it was a treat to have five minutes to flick through a mag.

I came to expert Kris Meredith’s page, Walking With Angels.

Kris suggested saying an affirmation to connect to your guardian angel: ‘I call upon my guardian angel and all my helper angels to let you know I’m open to receiving your signs and communications, now and forever!’

On impulse, I repeated the words out loud.

‘I wonder if it will work?’ I mused to myself. I was certainly open to receiving a bit of angelic support.

That night, at 3am, I awoke to use the loo.

Half-asleep, I became aware of a white cloudy ball just floating next to me – the size and shape of a football, but made of white clouds.

Entranced, I didn’t feel scared. In fact, a wonderful sensation of wellbeing enveloped me.

‘My angel,’ I whispered. ‘Thank you!’ Since then, my angel has been around a lot.

For example, I was getting bored with my job. I love caring for people, but I wasn’t using all of my qualifications and skills. So I asked my angel. ‘Please give me a sign of what I should do and where I should go?’ Then I spotted a new position online helping patients who had suffered strokes. I applied. Within two days I was offered an interview!

I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get to the interview in time as I was working that day, but out of the blue, I was let off work an hour early, so I was able to get home, get changed and be there on time. I got the job.

My angel helped everything to fall into place!

But it was the angel’s help with my daughter that I am most grateful for.

A few months ago, I was at work when my daughter Rhea, 12, called me. ‘Mum,’ she stuttered. ‘Skye’s on the floor, collapsed. She’s shaking!’

After rushing back home, I was relieved to see that my other daughter, Skye, 16, had recovered. She obviously needed to be checked out, though. We were told to go to the hospital the next day.

Hopefully, there’d be an innocent explanation. Perhaps she was dehydrated, had skipped a meal…

That night, I prayed to my angel. ‘Give me a sign Skye will be OK.’

At 3am, I sensed someone waking me. I felt as if something was in the room with me. ‘My angel,’ I smiled to myself.

After extensive hospital tests and an ECG, Skye’s results thankfully came back normal. She’s still being looked after by the clinic, just in case.

But I know my angel is also looking after her and I feel sure that Skye will be fine!
