Workplace SORCERY

Add a little enchantment into your working day and go from being chained to your desk to manifesting your dreams…

-

Snowed under with deadlines, struggling with a grumpy boss, constantly working overtime — there’s nothing magical about work, right? Well, think again! Follow our easy tips and transform your normal working day into something truly extraordinary…

Journey into the unknown

Commuting can often be the toughest part of the working day. Whether you’re stuck in traffic or squashed on a crowded bus, it’s easy to want to zone out and play with your phone.

Instead, use this time to attract new and exciting opportunities into your life.

Before you begin your journey, picture your final destination. See yourself arriving, feeling safe, relaxed and eager to start your day.

Then, during your journey, engage all your senses, so notice not only what you see and hear, but also what you smell, touch and feel.

Imagine there’s a window on top of your head, and that it’s fully open — so you can experience everything around you and connect with the universe.

Practise this at least once a day for a week and you’ll start to notice cosmic signs and coincidences pointing you in the right direction. You’ll also radiate positive energy, which in turn will attract wonderful opportunities into your life.

Water cooler wish maker

Staying hydrated is important to wellbeing, but that trip to the water cooler could also make your dreams come true.

Water is the element associated with emotions and the cup of plenty is a powerful symbol in folklore, which relates to abundance and manifesting dreams.

As you fill up your cup, think about what you’d like in your life — anything from a new relationship, to more financial security or even a holiday.

Make sure you fill the cup to the very top, then carefully take a sip.

As you do, in your head, say this mantra: My cup overflows with love divine, my heart’s desire is now mine!

Finish the water at your leisure, but continue to repeat the mantra as you drink. And remember, with every drop, you’re moving closer to your goal.

Crystal-clear thinking

Whether you’ve just arrived at work after a nightmare commute, or hit an afternoon slump, this magical technique will have you firing on all cylinders in no time.

Take a small polished piece of rose quartz and place it in a sock or glove.

Pop it discreetly beneath your desk and take it in turns to roll each foot gently over it in a circular motion, for three or four minutes at a time.

As you do this, you’ll notice a tingling sensation in your soles which slowly extends up your legs.

Feel it move through your body until it reaches the centre of your chest, where it hits your heart chakra.

Notice the warmth expand until it feels like it’s shining outwards, shedding loving rays of pink light all over your colleagues.

Rubbing the crystal on the sole of your foot stimulates energy, while the rose quartz helps cleanse and renew the soul.

Lunchtime luck

Looking for more than a soggy sarnie at lunchtime?

If your spirits need lifting and you’d like to invite some luck into your life, then take a walk on the wild side.

Shamans throughout the world use dance and rhythm to journey into the spiritual realm, because the beat, whether it’s from a drum or the tap of a foot, is associated with the universal heartbeat.

As you’re walking to the sandwich shop or taking a stroll round the park, focus on the tapping noise your feet are making. Start slow and build up speed and volume.

Now imagine that with every step you’re becoming lighter and brighter until you feel like you’re walking on air.

When you eventually reach your destination, you’ll be a beacon of light attracting good fortune and happiness.

You can do this exercise at any time of the day, even when you’re walking around the office or to meetings.
