TWO Teesside friends have teamed up to create a new security firm.

Faisil ‘Faz’ Din and business partner Shoaib Salehi have recently launched Eagle Security NE, providing their growing portfolio with everything from door supervisors to CCTV and alarmed response.

After more than 10 years in the industry, Faz, 28, decided last year that it was time to make his mark on the security world himself – along with the help of 24-year-old Shoaib.

Eagle Security NE currently provides security for around four venues on Teesside but is hoping to add more to the list as the business grows. Faz told The Gazette: “Me and my business partner Shoaib have been in the security industry for a while but working for other people.

“I’m older so I have some more experience but we started working together and we’ve always been friends.”

Faz, who lives in Ingleby Barwick, and Acklam man Shoaib both previously worked together at security firm SecuriCorp.

They started talking about the idea of creating their own business midway through last year.

“Then we just decided to do it,” Faz admitted.

“At the moment we haven’t got any big plans but we just want to get as much as we can around Teesside and then potentially look at big contracts.” The firm – which is based on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough – has been up and running for the last few months and is “going well” according to Faz, despite having a quieter January, likely due to a mixture of the cost of living crisis and those watching their waistlines after the Christmas period.

He continued: “We can do all types of security – door supervising, event security, retail, site security, and also through 24-hour monitoring and CCTV and alarmed response.”

Faz said the company has got “loads of staff ready to work” as the business continues to grow.

He explained: “When we take on work it is weekly but our contracts we take on monthly.

“At the moment, everyone we employ works for us but are effectively self-employed.”

From boxing nights to Magic Mike showings, the team at Eagle Security NE has already taken on a range of events across the region.

Other well-known venues that are now part of the team’s portfolio include trendy Middlesbrough vintage pub Madam Rouge, Ted & Gingers bar in Stockton’s Regency West Mall, and takeaway shop Pablo’s Pizza & Grill on Albert Road, Middlesbrough.

So why do Faz and Shoaib enjoy being in the security industry so much? Well, for them, it’s simple: “We enjoy helping people and providing security and safety.

“When people know us, they know how trustworthy we are.”
