Recognition of the 1st Territorial Cadet Battalion Cheshire Regiment by the Cheshire Territorial Force Association was dated 29 June 1910 and notified via Army Order 197 of that year. Headquarters were at No. 12, St Peter’s Square, Stockport and affiliation was to the 6th Battalion Cheshire Regiment. In 1920, however, that battalion was converted to an artillery role, the cadets at the same time being redesignated as the 1st Cheshire Royal Garrison Artillery Cadet Corps. ■
