COLLECTING INFORMATION

-

Army and air force swords are common and obtainable through many internet or military show sources to include The Ruptured Duck and Wittman Militaria (US), eBay, Lakeside Trader (Canada), and Parade Antiques Shop and Ulric of England (both in UK).

Heer dove head models are the least expensive swords starting at £360 with lion head examples, depending on condition etc, averaging about £750. Expect to pay a minimum of £800 for Luftwaffe models and about £850 for a police model. From there prices rise to £2,000 for a decent Kriegsmarine sword, £2,000 for a railway official, and about £3,500 for a prison official (the one with the eagle head). SS models are crazy expensive starting at £5,500 for one in good condition. But, no matter the size of your wallet, having a German sword hanging on your wall or displayed in a case is impressive.
