The AntiTank Rifle
STEVEN J ZALOGA
It's the turn of the anti-tank weapons of WWII in number
60 of the Weapon series. Here he covers some of the weapons we’ve featured in the Armourer, such as the 20mm Madsen gun and the Finnish L-39, while the British were mainly equipped with the Boys Anti-Tank rifle. Heavy, cumbersome, these were largely detested by troops having to haul them around. Their effectiveness rapidly decreased as armour on tanks increased so that even by 1941 they were largely ineffective. Period photos, illustrations and technical information make this an excellent resource.
