The funeral procession of King Edward VII took place on 20 May 1910, Woodville later to capture part of the event via a wash drawing. In it we see the king’s charger being led by a groom, the artist careful to include the tradition of reversed stirrups, followed by a Highlander and the monarch’s favourite dog, the wire fox terrier Caesar.
