COLLECTING
British service cartridges are neither difficult to find nor very expensive. There are a number of sites on the internet specialising in such merchandise and prices for a complete, inert .303 calibre bullet can be as little as 75p, although rare items will be more expensive. Cartridges for collecting may be legally held without a FAC (firearms certificate) if they can be shown to be inert, that is, do not contain propellant, but it is best to check with a specialist dealer or the local Firearms Officer to be sure what is considered to be inert ammunition.
