COLLECTING INFORMATION

-

Although prices have increased during the last two decades due to interest in Russian weapons from old Iron Curtain nations and the offloading of many examples on the USA markets, prices are much less than with some other arms. A Berdan II rifle is much more expensive than the three line designs and the same is true of bayonets. IMA was selling examples for $1,795 until recently and bayonets hover around $125. In UK the Trehlinejnaja Vintovka Obrasca 1891 goda requires a firearms certificate but deactivated examples (to the new legal specifications) will exceed £700 as so many were altered in the 1930s or modified in Finland. A live Finnish rifle was $479 on Gunbroker. com at the time of writing. Mosin-Nagant bayonets range from £30£100 dependent on markings and condition.
