Ratisbon’s 53rd Contemporary
We had a quick look at the early consignments last month, so here are more of the lots in the auction that runs from 18-26 February. First up, an M33 SA Service Dagger with hanger. The dagger comes with a clean blade showing the etched motto ‘Alles für Deutschland’. It’s RZM ‘M7/83’ maker-marked and features a nice light brown wooden handle with original inlaid SA roundel and eagle. Includes the brown leather hanger. Starting price will be £528 (BP is 22.5%).
What do you make of this next item, it’s a Wound Badge in gold of the so-called Condor Legion type, 1st pattern. It’s a nice, gold-plated tombak badge that’s hollow inside, in nice condition. Bidding starts at £440.
Interesting lot next, centre around Panzerfaust manuals and various other bits of ephemera. There are three period time Panzerfaust instruction manuals, three press photos showing a Tank Destruction Badge, a Heer soldier using a bazooka, and a soldier with a shell. Explanations of the photos are on the back. Bids start at £264.
Now, we covered the NSKK last month in a feature, and here’s a sidecap for a Haupttruppführer serving with Motorgruppe Hessen. An untouched sidecap with 100% period time attached insignia. Black silk lining. RZM ‘Dienstmütze NSKK’ tag. Size 56/57.
A few Luftwaffe items now, starting with a 1940 flight triangle calculator and morse code key.

Plus a Morse code generator, maker marked with ‘ALLEI’, the plate made from Bakelite, in fully working condition. Bidding starts at just £79.
Then there’s a 1940 Luftwaffe navigation map for Östliche Nordsee & Ostseestaaten, which translates as Eastern North Sea & Baltic Sea States. Made from paper, issued in 1940. Size: 119cm x 104cm. Bidding starts at £88.
And finally from the Luftwaffe, an M31 bread bag in dark blue. It’s in first rate condition but the maker’s name has faded. Bids start at £44. ■
