New goalposts for Lamlash

A playpark in Lamlash has new football goalposts and nets thanks to Lamlash Improvements Association.

They were put up by willing volunteers of all ages at the play area at the foot of Bungalow Road and Hospital Road and were in use almost immediately.

They have replaced the nets which had all but dis- integrated and which were also donated by the improvements association.

Brenda Stewart, who organised the work party, said: ‘We would like to thank Lamlash Improvements for the donation.

‘What a difference they will make to children playing at this end of the village.’
