Haunted manor and ghost trail at Brodick Castle

-

In what must be one of the most fitting settings for Hallowe’en, Brodick Castle Gardens and Country Park are pulling out all the stops to ensure that their three planned events are as spectacularly spooky as their suitable setting.

Using live actors, scary music, set designs and special lighting in the forest, the scene will be set for some of the most unforgettable Hallowe’en events on Arran.

Offering something for everyone, two ghost trails will be available during the daytime which will take place on Saturday October 27 and the following day, between 11am and 4pm, and are aimed at families and children. Visitors will be able to walk along an eerie forest trail where ghosts, goblins and other Hallowe’en creatures will lie in wait for you. With spooky music, scary set designs and props, this activity is suitable for all ages but does contain some scary content and props please consider this when taking young children.

In addition to the ghost trails there will also be ghost tours where Hallowe’en guides will take you on an outdoor historical tour around the castle and gardens, sharing with you the darker side of Brodick Estate and even some of their own experiences with local ghosts. These too are suitable for all ages but they do contain some scary content which must be considered when taking young children.

Decidedly not for small children, or the faint of heart, the final event taking place on Wednesday October 31, during the night between 7pm and 10pm, will see the grounds transformed into a haunted manor where you follow a trail, encountering all kinds of ghosts and ghouls. Taking place on one night only, and with the live actors and music and special lighting, the event is sure to leave visitors quaking in their boots.

All events can be booked online at www.nts. org.uk where early booking is recommended due to limited availability and the popularity of these events.
