Ain’t Mis­be­havin’ en­ter­tain at SWI

Mem­bers of the Shisk­ine SWI and guests from the other is­land in­sti­tutes were well en­ter­tained by Ain’t Mis­be­havin’ at their meet­ing on Wed­nes­day Novem­ber 7.

The Ar­ran group per­formed a range of mu­sic from past to present which was ap­pre­ci­ated by all in at­ten­dance, par­tic­u­larly on a cold win­ter’s night in Novem­ber.

Af­ter an en­joy­able sup­per, vice pres­i­dent Joan Ste­wart an­nounced the win­ners of the evening’s com­pe­ti­tions: Favourite bell which was won by Mar­ion Bram­bles with Kate Hen­der­son as the run­ner up and home­made mu­si­cal in­stru­ment, won by Eve­lyn Hamil­ton.

The next meet­ing of the Shisk­ine SWI will be on Wed­nes­day De­cem­ber 5 when a cock­tail/mock­tail evening will be held at Shisk­ine Golf Club­house at 7.30pm. The com­pe­ti­tion will be for best wrapped par­cel – value £5 – and the ex­hi­bi­tion is favourite e ven­ing bag. Parcels can be pur­chased and all pro­ceeds go to Chil­dren’s Hospices Across Scot­land (CHAS).

Jean Hunter presents Jenny Harper with the Fer­gu­son Tray. The tro­phy is awarded to the mem­ber with most points from the pre­vi­ous win­ter meet­ings and the sum­mer show in Au­gust.
