Let there be light

-

North Ayrshire Council is calling on Arran residents not to be left in the dark by reporting street lighting faults as soon as possible.

With darker evenings and mornings, the council’s lighting team is determined to ensure its thousands of street lights stay sparkling.

‘There are around 24,000 street lights across North Ayrshire, so it is inevitable that a small number will have faults over the course of the winter,’ said Councillor Jim Montgomerie, cabinet member for place.

‘We are asking the public to keep us informed of any faulty street lights and we’ll make sure we get it sorted as soon as we possibly can. No-one wants to be left in the dark so the sooner we hear about a faulty light, the quicker our response will be.’
