Wednesday December 26. A total of 10 played in the Boxing Day Christmas Bottle played as a Stableford from the yellow tees. Reflecting the clement weather and the condition of the course, scoring was good. Nine players scored 30 points or more but with both scoring a fine 40 points, Jamie Macpherson pipped John Pennycott on a countback to win the bottle. 1 Jamie Macpherson 5, 40pts, ACB, 2 John Pennycott 15, 40, 3 David Brookens 12, 37. Magic twos, Dave Hackett at 4th, Sandy Pringle at 11th.

Sunday December 30. Heavy overnight rain stopped just in time to allow 11 to play in the Nearly Hogmanay Sweep, played as a yellow tees Stableford to match the relaxed atmosphere of the holiday season. Indeed, so relaxed was the mood and so mild was the weather that many ended their round in short sleeves. For the second game in a row, John Pennycott found himself pipped to first place when Dave Hackett matched his 40 points but prevailed on a countback over the last nine holes. 1 Dave Hackett 13, 40pts ACB, 2 John Pennycott 15, 40, 3 Wolfi Kroner 16, 38. Magic two Neillie McKechnie @11th.

Fixtures: Sunday January 6, AGA Winter League round three at Whiting Bay. As ties will be played from shotgun starts, the course is reserved for the duration of the matches.
