The first lambs of spring

Newborn lambs usually mark the start of the new year and these two arrivals, among the first on the island, were welcomed this week by Janis Murchie in Shiskine. Pictured are Lexie Smith holding a pedigree Suffolk lamb and Zara Smith with a pedigree Poll Dorset lamb shortly after they were born.
