Summer fun with the Arran RNLI
As the good summer weather arrives, Arran RNLI will once again be opening its station doors to the public during its annual open day.
On Saturday July 20 the volunteer crew at Arran RNLI will welcome members of the public to their station in Lamlash for a chance to meet the crew and find out how the RNLI carries out their lifesaving work.
Visitors will have the chance to see the inshore lifeboat Rachel Hedderwick, witness a display demonstrating the abilities of the Atlantic 85, join the crew for a barbeque and have the chance to hear about the work of the RNLI and what it means to be part of the station.
The volunteers promise a great day out for the whole family and encourage everyone to take the opportunity to pay the station a visit for a rare behind-the-scenes look at how an RNLI station works.
The event on Saturday July 20 will take place from noon until 5pm at the Lamlash Pier.
