Shiskine continued their run of dismal form with another heavy defeat in the only game of the night on Monday when a well-organised Lamlash managed to notch up an impressive 11 goals.

First goal

Player manager Johnny Sloss scored twice along with Grant Adamson also securing a brace. Young Thomas Copperwheat also scored with his first goal since coming through the ranks.

Kyle Campbell scored Lamlash’s best goal of the match with a powerful strike into the top corner from the edge of the box. Other goal scorers for Lamlash included Jamie Sillars, Ben Tattersfield and Barry Scott.

Dave Webster and Calum McAllister were unfortunate to score own goals with two great Lamlash crosses forcing the mistakes.

Despite Shiskine only scoring two, one of the goals was the highlight of the game – a stunning overhead kick from Cameron Thomson. John Mulholland was Shiskine’s other goal scorer.

Commanding

Referee Danny Head gave David Copperwheat man of the match for commanding the Lamlash midfield and creating loads of chances.

The next league fixtures will take place on Monday July 15 when Southend are at home to Shiskine and Lamlash take on Northend.
