Sunday March 6, AGA Winter League, round five. This year’s final round of the AGA Winter League made for an exciting climax as Whiting Bay and Corrie, the only teams with a chance of winning the trophy, met at Lamlash, with Corrie only needing a draw and Whiting Bay needing a win.
Whiting Bay delivered with a comfortable 3.5 to 0.5 victory, although the individual ties were decided on much narrower margins.
