Resort re-opens its eighteen69 venue

-

Auchrannie Resort has reopened eighteen69, its Scottish tapas style restaurant, after it was closed almost 19 months ago.

The popular restaurant was forced to closed its doors in August 2021 as a result of staff shortages brought about by the Covid crisis.

However, after a successful recruitment drive, the doors finally re-opened last Friday to much fanfare with head chef Colin Miller leading operations in the kitchen.

The concept of the restaurant is tapas style Scottish food and the tagline ‘it’s all about sharing’ encourages diners to sample and share a variety of small plates together with their dining companions.

The menu focuses on Scottish produce with a playful twist on traditional classics.

Top sellers over the opening weekend included the venison tartare, lobster and crayfish burger and the cheesy beanos.

The restaurant has also increased its vegetarian and plant-based offering as a result of guest feedback.

The extensive food menu is complemented by a specially curated cocktail selection which uses Arran spirits, including Arran gin and Lochranza whisky, to add to the Scottish theme of the restaurant. Resort manager Garrie Ross, who oversaw the re-opening, said: “We are delighted that after such a long period of closure we have finally been able to welcome diners back to eighteen69. The entire team has been working around the clock over the last few weeks and months to make this happen.”

Auchrannie Resort has three restaurants - Cruize Bar Brasserie, Brambles Seafood and Grill and eighteen69 which is open from Thursday to Monday while the bar is open seven days a week.
