FINISHED PAINTING

Shell with Manuscript, oil on gesso panel, 8311¾in (20330cm).

The final few touches were made to the oil sketch. A few linear brushstrokes with a rigger and very fluid and dilute paint picked out the dark curves on the cover of the music. The sharp shadows under the shell were repainted, their tone accentuated to give a little more depth
