Show Your Art
Gita Joshi This book is gold dust. If you’re at all serious about pursuing your art professionally, it will tell you everything you need to know about promoting it to a wider audience. The style is conversational, readable and absolutely to the point. Gita avoids technicality and over-complication while covering even the smallest details. Having myself been involved in setting up trade fair stands, I can completely relate to a checklist that includes a notebook, cash float and something to sit on. Practicality and comfort run hand-inhand with business considerations.
This is, it should be said, a book about practicalities. If you need business and legal advice, there are other books that will complement it. However, it’s an excellent place to start and Gita writes from the point of view of someone who has been there, done that and understands the concerns and requirements of the artist rather than the business professional.
