EXERCISE TWO CONTINUOUS LINE DRAWING

-

With this exercise I want you to introduce some basic shapes to your sketching and practise using continuous line. To make this easy, I want you to work in 2D and keep the shapes simple. The purpose of these exercises is to get you drawing more loosely and in a more relaxed, free style and to get you used to continuous line sketching, which we will use more as we progress

?? ?? p Next take a soft pencil (2B to 4B) and draw over the shapes, using lovely rounded, continuous lines. As before, go to-and-fro, up-and-down, etc. Be rhythmic in your approach and, as the drawing progresses, start to enjoy the aesthetics of the line you are drawing

First draw the 2D shapes you see. Draw these as individual shapes, using soft pencil lines, next to each other or overlapping where necessary
