FINISHED PAINTING

Reflections, New York City, pastel on Ampersand Pastelbord, 13½310¼in (34326cm). I completed the overall block-in before returning to the vehicles to add the final touches. Further warmer colours were added to the reflections in the road, varying the marks by retaining their definition in some areas and blending in others. The final touches were the highlights in the overhead lighting, car lights and ground reflections. These were applied with a confident, clean application of colour
