All aspects of the sea are celebrated in this year’s Royal Society of Marine Artists’ annual exhibition – from tidal waters, and deep-water shipping, to sailing competitions, quiet harbours, marine wildlife and still life – the sea is celebrated in a broad range of styles and media. Precise and historically accurate scenes of times gone by rub shoulders with exuberant large canvases made on location and braving the elements. There’s something here for everyone, displayed in all three gallery spaces, including work by society members as well as work chosen from open submission.

The Royal Society of Marine Artists’ annual exhibition 2021 is on show at the Mall Galleries, The Mall, London SW1, from September 10 to October 10, 10am to 5pm daily.

The gallery is closed all day on Sunday October 3 for the London Marathon. There is late night opening, until 7pm, on Thursdays September 30 and October 7. For more information visit www.mallgalleries.org.uk and for informaiton about the society contact the RSMA at www.rsma-web.co.uk
