CHARLESTON The Bloomsbury Muse
Thiry-two paintings and artworks by members of the Bloomsbury Group go on show at the Philip Mould Gallery this autumn. The exhibition focuses on how Charleston Farmhouse – the group’s rural haven in West Sussex – became all-important during the time artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant lived there for over half a century. The exhibition includes loans from the house itself as well as lesser-known paintings from private collections covering a broad range of genres and subjects.
Charleston – The Bloomsbury Muse is at the Philip Mould Gallery, 18-19 Pall Mall, St. James’s, London SW1, from September 14 to November 10. Telephone 020 7499 6818 or visit www.philipmould.com
