STAGE FOUR

A soft background was mixed with green and the lower, distant area of the allotment printed. The structures were beginning to stand out and the picture was taking shape. Having then applied the various mixed coloured inks, by brush, to the hollyhock flowers on the lino I registered the paper and transferred the image using a brayer and allowed it to dry before adding a darker green to the foreground and the trees in the background of the artwork
