Inspirational source

My sister lives in the UK and for the past 25 to 30 years has given me an annual subscription to The Artist as a birthday present. I have kept them all. When lacking inspiration I search through the back issues and always emerge with more ideas than time to try them. I’m self-taught and since starting with oils I’ve also tried pen-andwash (a real favourite), painting on silk, and now acrylics. Always, above all else, I’ve had fun and enjoyed the process.
