When I paint light, I always look first at what colours are underneath it. I added mixes of yellow, red and white to the tree areas, with sap green mixed into the parts further from the light. The lady’s white coat was a dull orange, with a strip of lemon yellow and white where the light hit. I used the same highlight on the streetlight and by the doorway
