Painting mountains
I was delighted to see Mount Everest on the cover of the February 2022 issue and to read Sevina Yates' article. What a mountain! I too was inspired to paint a watercolour from a photo I took on my trip to Nepal in 2019. I loved the way Sevina described in detail how to paint the crevasses, glacial corries, etcetera.
I did my painting (below) in 2021 during lockdown. If I had known then what Sevina's wonderful demonstration has taught me, I am sure my painting would look better. However, I now know how to improve future works and I am proud of my painting, it is a reminder of my fantastic trip. I am so glad I went before Covid disrupted our lives. Thank you Sevina, I have learnt so much.
