Finally a smaller rigger was used to add some areas of detail around the boats and building, and a No.6 bristle brush was used to tidy up some of the areas around the painting. While the painting is quite subtle the careful use of saturated, bright colour together with muted, natural colour helps to give the impression of atmosphere and light
