Through Autumn Pines Towards the Sea, mixed media on (140lb) 300gsm NOT 100% cotton rich watercolour paper, 20322in (51356cm). The painting is now harmoniously balanced. There is evidence of expression and energetic intuitive marks visible still that contrast with the quieter restful areas in the painting, such as the sea, shoreline and distant clouds seen through the trees. The muted greens are a result of glazing blues over yellow with wet-in-wet techniques showing the importance of glazing colours, not just mixing them
