TRY THIS EXERCISE BEFORE SETTING PRICES FOR PORTRAITS

Choose three standard sizes of canvas/ paper and practise the same portrait on each size, starting with the smallest, to assess how many hours each takes. Not only is this an excellent exercise for painting skill it will help you to assess how much you need to charge. It is always amazing how much improvement is made between the first and last canvas.
