Seago’s palette

Seago used a fairly limited palette. He enjoyed colour mixing and there’s no doubt that using too many colours prevents you achieving uniformity throughout your painting. I added burnt umber to my palette in this demonstration, both for the initial ground wash and to help me achieve those darker tones.
