CASE STUDY
Pegasus Art
As the marketing manager at Pegasus Art, an independent retailer of art materials, we have always taken an open and creative stance to our content. Our large 17th century red-brick mill building nestling in the Stroud valley houses an extensive art shop, nine private studios and two teaching studios. Our ‘family’ is made up of staff, tutors and independent artists who have all steadfastly supported each other through the past years of turmoil.
We made a decision early on that our messaging should be consistently transparent, clear and direct, upbeat, supportive and encouraging. We know that art and craft offered a real lifeline to so many during lockdown and we worked tirelessly to deliver on the record number of orders at its peak. Going the extra mile is part of our ethos – all our artist staff try to assist customers with whatever projects they are working on and if we don’t have a product, we will try and find it for you. Open Studios is a highlight of our annual calendar and a chance to support the artists in their studios, acting as a supportive framework both physically and professionally. We try to offer value as well as to add value to our customers through a large programme of workshops, art talks, blogs and newsletters. Being part of the art industry feels collaborative, creative and loyal. Whatever this year brings, taking time to get your messaging right will be a long-term investment in yourself and your career. www.pegasusart.co.uk
