What is your overview of the event industry in Ecuador, and what role does your company play?
The event industry in Ecuador has become a key for all sectors, especially the commercial, manufacturing, and service sectors. Expos provide efficiency to offer a service or product, and the industry is evolving at a quick pace; therefore, it requires our full attention. Market research and internal and external analyses must be taken into account for every event. We are implementing a strategic process that will generate economic benefits for the company and increase the company’s positioning in each of the events. In 2019, it celebrated 38 years in the market. The key word for us is trust, because everything that we do is reflected in the quality of our work. As a reference in the organizational sector, we have constantly contributed to Ecuador’s development.
How has the Expominas event helped the country’s burgeoning mining sector?
Ecuador is becoming an important destination for mining, and Expominas is a part of that. Thanks to the 2019 event, companies from 11 different countries, including Chile, the US, China, Peru, South Africa, Canada, Colombia, Germany, Japan, the Czech Republic, and Spain have come to Ecuador. There are 236 companies in the sector and more than 600 brands. As the expo is an opportunity to establish commercial and business deals, Expominas’ goal is to improve Ecuador’s trade relations with other mining countries to create synergies and establish a responsible and sustainable mining sector. Mining plays an essential role in a country’s economic progress, so it is important to generate knowledge and learn how the mining industry supports growth and productivity. Mining is more than extraction and mineral processing; it relates to many other industries and sectors, including transport, construction, manufacturing, the environment, ecological services, education, and research. ✖
