Can you give an overview of CTAC’s expertise and the service you extend to clients?

CÉSAR ZÁRATE We help companies find strategic metals, gas, and crude oil through accelerated inspection. Because companies invest large sums of money to develop projects, partnering with CTAC contributes to securing their investment. Our service ensures operators can structure planning based on accurate geological information. For example, CTAC played a transformative role in the operations of a gold miner in Mexico. It had been carrying out exploration work for over five years in a property that is 10,000ha. Thanks to our technology, CTAC was able to survey the entire area in around six months at 95% accuracy.

CARLOS MORA CTAC helps reduce resource uncertainty in the mining, oil, and gas industries. Our technologies provide companies with an accurate appraisal of the geology where they operate, enabling them to maximize efficiency. The information we provide, which is obtained entirely through environmentally neutral processes, allows extractive industries to accelerate operations and improve results.

What is the current focus of business for CTAC in Peru?

CM CTAC’s priority in Peru is to improve its ties with industry and explore potential projects with companies. Companies want a method that allows CTAC to be in attendance without being there physically; it must be completely remote. This is one of the key parts of the technology, and we work to provide a digital solution to a physical problem. CTAC wants to change the way operators envision the project so that they can ensure the resources are economically viable and warrant physical drilling. This improves cost efficiency, speed, and results.

CZ Peru has massive opportunities, but most of them are in remote areas with difficult access or complex community dynamics. Our technology allows us to find the commodity miners are looking for with zero environmental impact and 95% accuracy. We can define if a project has enough material to be economically viable. Specifically, CTAC can play a role in the development of Peruvian oil and gas production. Peru’s oil and gas industries are of strategic importance for the country, and their development would alleviate trade imbalances and reduce import dependence. CTAC can help Peru identify and develop resources speedily, kick-starting these industries.

What role can CTAC play in the revival of the Peruvian economy post pandemic?

CM One way is giving quick solutions, as a project that would take two or three years to start can be done in a few months. Companies will have the information quicker, with solid information to make the right decisions. The Peruvian mining and oil and gas industry can look forward to greater certainty that a project will be in a good place with solid valuations. When we apply our technology, we reduce the uncertainty and environmental impact. We help agencies control a smaller area better, with better recoveries for the companies and a reduced environmental impact. It also ensures greater returns with a smaller investment. Normally, there are companies that find amazing assets, but the money they must invest in on certifications can be massive, and that also delays projects. One of the things we can help with is reduce this investment so that they can achieve more from outside and local investors and run the project faster.

What aspects of CTAC’s portfolio of services would you like to highlight?

CZ Offshore explorations are made more efficient with CTAC. We can reduce costs by more than 80% because seismic assessment offshore is expensive. The government can also plan the areas that can be explored for the future and do better business because it will know exactly what material is in the area. CTAC has the potential of being a catalyst for the oil industry.
