Emmett Costel currently serves as the co-founder & Secretary General of AMER and business strategy associate at ENGIE-Fenix International. He has over 10 years of experience in various roles in the development, social enterprise, and impact investing sectors, serving as director of Epsilon Energia Solar and consultant on various projects in Mozambique, the Netherlands, Kenya, Portugal, and the US. With comprehensive local knowledge of the Mozambican market, he is leading business development for new ventures and supporting the commercial development of renewable energy projects and businesses in both on-grid and off-grid energy. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Macalester College in St. Paul in the US and an executive certificate course from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business.
