CEO, IMAGINA ENERGÍA
Belonging to Hanwha Group, Imagina Energía started its activities in 2020. What is the company’s vision?
Hanwha Group is an Asian business conglomerate, present in many areas, including the energy sector. From Spain, we analyze investment opportunities across Europe as two different companies: Hanwha Energy Corporation Europe, the company that develops large solar plants; and Imagina Energía, the trading company that also offers photovoltaic projects (solar energy) for self-consumption. Within the group, we produce our own photovoltaic panels, thus covering the entire solar energy value chain, from production and panel installation to solar energy electricity supply and self-consumption solutions. Our expertise also extends to ensuring these self-consumption solutions do not require an investment for our clients. Rather, we make the investment ourselves, which sets us apart from our competitors. During the pandemic in particular, all companies’ resources must be focused on their productive process. Aligned with this value, we analyze our customer’s situation and come up with an investment proposal especially designed for their specific needs.
What are Imagina Energía’s objectives for 2021?
One objective is to make solar solutions accessible to all customers in Spain. In order to do so, we have two business lines: self-consumption solutions and solar energy supply. In the short term, a EUR400-million investment plan has been authorized. It is a plan for photovoltaic solar technology through which we will carry out numerous projects. In terms of developing solar energy, we also have an extremely ambitious plan. Hanwha Group aims to become the alternative among the independent market players. In Spain, our vision is to lead solar energy supply and self-consumption solutions.
